Youth Sections in 1st Karori Scout Group 

1st Karori Scout Group currently has four youth sections; 

• Keas is for 6- to 7-year-olds, in years 2 & 3 at school, meeting on Mondays at the Scout Hall between 6 pm and 7 pm, unless they are off-site for other activities. 

• Cubs is for young people in years 4, 5 & 6 at school (usually 8 to 10.5 years old).  We have two Cub packs that meet weekly at the Scout Hall between 6:00 pm and 7:15 pm, unless they are off-site for other activities.  Manuka on Tuesdays and Mahoe on Thursdays. 

• Scouts is for young people in years 7, 8 & 9 at school (usually aged between 10.5 and 14 years old). We have two Scout Troops that meet weekly at the Scout Hall between 7:30 pm and 9 pm, unless they are off-site for other activities. Tainui Troop meet on Mondays, and Aotea Troop meet on Tuesdays; some nights, troops combine for activities. 

• Venturers is for young people from Year 10 through age 18, or until graduation from high school. Our Venturer unit meets on Wednesdays between 8 pm & 10 pm at the Scout Hall, unless they are off-site for other activities.
